I must be an unusual case. An ear, nose and throat specialist I saw a while back agreed with me that it was steroids that caused it (for me). I actually have been taking lipo-flavonoid for 5 weeks now and love it. It's helped dramatically. :D

I've had asthma all my life, and that attack lasted one day. The tinnitus started five days later when I finished taking steroids. In fact, I've been off the new steroids - the prednisone - now for a day or two and the tinnitus is much better.
(Thanks for your response.)

Must likely you got it because of the asthma and not the steroids, as soon as the asthma gets down and better, you should notice the tinnitus going low too, if it doesn't, then you got a nervious irritation, you can get it down with a dosis of cinarizine every 12 hours (75 mg per tablet), also have your ears checked, maybe some mucous got into your inner ear and is causing trouble to your eustaquian tubes too.

Can steroids cause it? I took steroids for five days due to an asthma attack and suddenly got tinnitus. I've had it for five weeks now. I took prednisone (steroids) for the past 8 days and it's worsened, hence the question.
