The ringing in my ears is constant but I only hear it when it’s really quiet. At first I thought it just happened late at night but then I realized one day(when plugging my ears so I didn’t hear an irritating commercial on tv from the other room) that the ringing was always there. It just didn’t always bother me because it’s usually drowned out by all the noise around me. I’ve read about ear ringing and apparently that’s called tinnitus. Now, are there any remedies or anything that can get rid of the ringing?

There can be many causes for tinnitus. Identify the cause and you can usually find a remedy. My mom uses a low-salt diet to control the level of ringing. She has Meiner’s disease and the ringing is caused by swelling of the tissues in the inner ear. Lower salt for her means less fluid retention. The lower salt also helped her with weight and lowered her blood pressure! Good things all round!
There can be other causes and so other remedies. For most people, trying a low salt diet isn’t going to hurt them so you might try it.
Definitely sounds like tinnitus to me. My Mom suffers from the same condition, and gotten worse over the years.
Unfortunately there is no known cure or even treatment at this time.
Cheers and best of luck
